Southern Season – Tryon Capital Ventures joined forces with Carrboro Capital in 2011 to buy this well-known, 40-year old specialty foods business in Chapel Hill. Since then, the company has expanded from the original flagship store in Chapel Hill to stores in Charleston, South Carolina, Richmond, Virginia, Raleigh, North Carolina and is soon to open in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, the company developed a new state of the art distribution center in Mebane, North Carolina
Sea Trail Resort – Tryon Capital represented a Chinese buyer who purchased the resort in 2013. Tryon was asked to operate the resort for six months as it transitioned to the new ownership.
HMI – Tryon Capital joined Carrboro Capital to make a convertible debt investment in this company in 2011. The funds were used to develop an insurance program for trees and shrubbery: treeShield® Tryon partner Peter Coker serves on the HMI board.
